Shaman King is a manga that was created and written by Hiroyuki Takei . The manga follows a young shaman who wishes to become the Shaman King. Takei went on to make 300 volumes of a new topic that hasn't been done before. The manga was later produced into a 64 episode series that was produced by Xebec and ran on TV Tokyo.

Shaman King follows a young shaman, Yoh Asakura, as he travels the world fighting misguided shamans and evil spirits. The drawing style for Shaman King is a bit exaggerated and wacky. The head for some characters are seems normal but the hands and feet are twice as large. My favorite chapter in the series is volume 12 when they introduce Lee Pyron. This character was a nod to the late martial artist Bruce Lee. From the creation of his fighting style to his untimely death. In Takei's interpretation, Lee Pyron's body was stolen and is being used by a misguided shaman to be her puppet.

The Licking Woman by Junji Ito      Some of the most bizarre and frightening panels are contained within The Licking Woman Manga. Some of the elements that send chills down my spine are the moments were the antagonist revealed her true face; a large grotesque tongue. Innocently enough she licks you and of course the feeling of being licked by some random stranger is unnerving. However, her tongue is coated with toxic saliva that can kill you on contact within hours.     The ending left me with a sour taste in my mouth as we see the protagonist succumb to the same fate as the licking woman. Years after she had killed the licking woman, her tongue begins to swell as a large mass begins to slip out of her mouth. She is left on the floor convulsing on the ground due to cyanide. The feeling of a hero who suffered through so much pain falls victim to a tongue. The most sickening panel...minus the eating a zombie panel

If you're looking for a comedic, action-packed manga then this is the manga for you. One-Punch Man is a manga series created by One. Yes the author is known as One. Don't be leave me? Look it up I'll wait. Right! Anyway the manga is distributed into series or chapters that are 13 pages long. The length gives One time to write my chapters each week and bring more comedic action moments. The series begin with a villain by the name of Vaccine Man starts destroying the city. He believes humanity is a disease that must be wiped away. Our hero Saitama, One Punch Man, shows up to save a little girl before she was crushed in the villains hands. The back story for Saitama is simple: He's a hero for fun.

     I SAW IT follows the survivor, Keiji Nakazawa, as he recounts the details of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. The manga is graphic and gives a detailed view of the aftermath as Nakazawa recounts the grueling moments he and his family had endured as the atomic bomb fell on Hiroshima. Nakazawa wanted to make this manga to show the rest of the world how devastating the bomb was and to bring awareness to the undisputed argument of atomic bombs.      In a blinding light he is blown away. Unlike the unfortunate people around him he only suffered a nail in the cheek. Around him people are either on fire or melting away. Some people who weren't as luck were the ones one were caught in debris or rubble. The loss of his siblings were tough on Nakazawa as his sister was crushed underneath the house, his brother was trapped and burned alive as he cried out to their mother, and his younger sister died of malnourishment.
